If you have driven past our offices in the past few hours you will have noticed that a 'To Let' sign has gone up on the side of the offices at 22 Newland, Lincoln. Earlier in September the Vision Core Team, in conjunction with the Groundlevel Operations Team made the decision not to renew the lease on the offices at the renewal date of October 12th and we have informed the landlord that we will vacate the offices from October 12th 2020.
The decision was made for a couple of reasons:
1: Due to the Governmental advice to work from home over the past number of months all of our staff have been home working. VCT made the decision that working from home, combined with weekly time for teams to collaborate will be the way our staff will operate for the foreseeable future.
2: We will relocate our administration office into some of the downstairs rooms in the church building of Alive Lincoln Central. This will be a cost saving to the church of over £25,000 per year. In the current climate we decided this was the best stewardship. As we are unable to start conferencing in our building for the foreseeable future we will reconfigure rooms to make the best use of them.
From the rooms in our Alive Central building we will maintain a centralised administrative base, telephone switchboard and postal address to support the full function of Alive. We will also utilise other rooms for team meetings, pastoral catch-ups and other church related functions.
The staff team will work throughout October to ensure a smooth transition between the 2 buildings. We will release further updates throughout the month to keep you informed of the progress.
